It's Almost Fall

Looking out of our window at the trees on a hot summer day I imagined what the hills would look like when the weather cooled; this image came to mind. I like paintings, especially landscapes, that are not behind glass.
This is an acrylic painting on watercolor paper that I attached to anther piece of watercolor paper and then to a heavy backboard with acid free glue. I coated the painting with an acid free sealer to protect it. Size is 9"X 11".

Perryville Hills

'Perryville Hills' is an
acrylic painting
which was painted
at a friend's studio
in Perryville, MO.
A group of artists
gathered to paint.
We topped the day
off with delicious
beef vegetable
soup prepared
by our host.
Art, friends & food
go together very well!

Lonely Tree

I love to paint with a palette knife! The texture is so beautiful. and the palette knife is so much fun to use. I'm liking oil paints more and more. 'Lonely Tree' is a memory of a view out of our condo window in Colorado. I also love the mountains.
Size 6" X 6"

FALL HILLS

'Fall Hills'

I had fun doing this piece. It was the first time that I worked on a small painting with a palette knife. Most of my paintings are in watercolor. I have painted with acrylics in the last couple of months using a brush. 'Fall Hills' is in oil which was totally new to me. I really like the way that oils can be worked. Size 6" X 6"
